What is "A Community of Families"?

It's a place of social activities, Shabbat Dinner Play Groups, Parenting Resources and more for those seeking an integrated celebrationof family life through a Jewish perspective - where a family journey meets up with a Jewish journey. Based in Bergen County we are independent of any synagogue, denomination, organization or institution. This enrichment program has been started and is run by the families themselves, who come from all different backgrounds and levels of practice. We are a diverse, democratic, grassroots and inclusive family friendly group who tailor our bottom-up programs and outlook on our needs and desires as individuals and families.

A Community of Families seeks to create a fun, stimulating, andinspiring experience where children, parents and families together explore Judaism's rich culture and traditions. The program is designed to achieve a positiveJewish identity which will encourage a life-long interest in learning anddiscovery. A Community of Families is not affiliated with any particular Jewish movement or synagogue; but rather an organic manifestation of a local community of families - a neighborhood which shares the values, diversity, creativity andopenness to all levels of Jewish backgrounds.We offer many family programs, including Shabbat dinners, Parenting programs, holiday celebrations, family education programs, book and study groups,cooking classes, play groups, just-for-fun socials, and many more events whereyoung and old can learn and have fun together.
